
It's a little late for tomatoes, but we still had to take a look at Carl Tashian's blog entry from last summer: How to Can 1,000 Tomatoes. The man ended up with 64 jars of tomatoes, neatly peeled and sealed. He gives a list of things you need, and links to canning directions too. Plus he just makes it look easy.




I'm part of the CSA program at the farm where he got his tomatoes! I got only one box of those tomatoes and made sauce for freezing. Next year I'm going to try canning. Maybe not 1000.
