That tiny pinch added to the chili, that smidge in the banana bread, that dash in the brownies, that speck in the chocolate chip cookies. Growing up in New Mexico I am rather attached to chile peppers. The combination of smooth chocolate and the warm heat of green or red chile is fantastic. Another favorite concoction is homemade chile-cinnamon caramel sauce [goes great over vanilla ice cream].
