Here's a good question from Mary on coffee home delivery. She asks:
Since it's coffee week, I thought I'd ask about the Illy coffee home delivery program. I've tasted Illy espresso in restaurants and like it very much. Program details from the Illy website... "Your obligation is to fulfill your commitment to pay $150 for the introductory kit (the kit is a FrancisFrancis X5 espresso machine plus a set of espresso cups) within 3 months, and to purchase a minimum of 4 cans of illy per month for 12 months (or the equivalent amount of coffee within 12 months)."
I would drink 2-3 shots of espresso a day so I'm pretty sure I would use up most of the espresso that I would be required to purchase every month. I was wondering if anyone has tried the home delivery program and had a good or bad experience with it. Thanks!

Mary - if what you wrote it is true - I would totally go for it. I thought of signing up for my husband, but since I gave up coffee, there is no way we can consume all that coffee, but $150 for the Francis X5 - that is a bargain, and then you get coffee all year long - for payment for the coffee and convenience to deliver home - we pay $13 for the one tin. I know this that once I purchased something at Illy.com and it got delivered next day - they use FedEx.

Go for it. I was seriously considering this program until I received an Expobar machine as a gift. The FrancisFrancis machines are good, and the coffee is great.

Is it a good Deal?
well if you only use that kind of coffee, maybe.
I worked it out to be a $987 deal (only if you order 6 cans a month to get free shipping), other wise its more.
What I would do is just buy the machine from them on sale at $495 (with two cans free) and free shipping. Then buy the coffee or any coffee as needed! $495 for this machine is a really great deal!
good Luck

Illy Coffee is absolutely fantastic. Its expensive but is better than all the rest. If you currently drink as much as is delivered in the offer, and you can afford Illy, then go for it.
Cheers!
