Here is a quick and easy dessert that only needs three ingredients! It takes less than ten minutes to make, so you can whip it up right after dinner while other people are clearing the table.

Be sure to use a nonstick pan. If you find that the sugar residue is too hard to wash off of cooking and serving equipment, simply soak in very hot water, which will dissolve the sugar.

Easy Glazed Bananas
Serves four.

Ingredients:
Four ripe bananas, cut up any way you like. I prefer to cut them in 1-inch thick medallions, but you could cut them in half lengthwise.
2 tbsp. butter
1 cup sugar of your choice; white or brown

Preparation:
Melt the butter in a nonstick pan or skillet and add the sugar. Turn heat to medium-high or almost-high and wait for the sugar to melt. It might seem like it is not going to melt, but be patient and it will melt. Be ready to turn off the heat once all the sugar melts, because it will burn very rapidly if you aren’t paying attention. Stir with a spoon to mix up the butter and sugar.

Add the bananas to the pan and toss in the melted sugar, and then transfer to plates.
