Plums have been gracing our screens quite a bit today. (Did you get Sara Kate's email? There's plum pie involved.) So we thought we'd highlight a product that might make pitting all that stone fruit easier. It's a plum pitter, or, as some websites call it, a stoner...
If your plums are small enough, we imagine a cherry pitter would work just fine. But this scooper-type pitter can also be used on peaches and nectarines whose flesh doesn't pull away from the pit very easily.
Buy it here:
Related: In Season: Italian Prune Plums (which, from Sara Kate's description, probably don't need a pitter, but other varieties might).

Didn't the AT:Kitchen used to have a "Single Use Kitchen Gadget you do not need" section? Since when did it become "Handy Product you gotta buy" ... I'll use a small knife to pit those plums, thank you.
