Look! Chocolate Pancakes for Valentine's Day

Hello, love. We would be quite delighted to wake up to these beauties on Valentine's Day. They're part of a chocolate slideshow at Gourmet's website that has so many tempting things. Go take a look...

We've commented before how smitten we get with the big, splashy photos on the Gourmet website. This slideshow has some gems: Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars, Salted Chocolate Caramels, and Fried Bittersweet Chocolate Bread, just to name a few.

We love the idea of having your Valentine's Day celebration over breakfast (instead of a fussy dinner). And we'd be more than happy to eat this, even though we are fully aware that it's equivalent to eating a plateful of chocolate cake.

What about you? Chocolate pancakes: yea or nay?

What a great way to start the day!.... with a sugar coma!

Don't get me wrong, those look delish, but way too rich for breakfast.

way to rich...for you. Delightfully delish for those who have an innapropriate relationship with chocolate.

I'll bet these pancakes are no worse (and possibly better) than a bowl of Lucky Charms or a giant cinnamon roll; in fact, if I can find them, I'll be back with the numbers. Of course I don't eat those for breakfast, either. But for a special occasion? My goodness, it would be nice to indulge, particularly those of us who love all things chocolate.

Coffee, chocolate pancakes and strawberries in bed. Then a nap! MMMM.

My BF loves it when I make pancakes for him. He also loves chocolate, and he loves peanut butter on his pancakes. This might be a match made in heaven.
