Happy Halloween from all of us here at The Kitchn. And look at this - gingerbread skeletons! There have been a few versions of these around the web lately (so clever!) but these are our favorite. Maybe it's the owls that put it over the top.

The cookies were created by Heidi Kenney of My Paper Crane. She has an eye for the whimsical in food; she has created plush versions of toast and toasters, cupcakes, doughnut holes, and milk cartons.
