Or these little lettuce leaf cups for crudités and dip that can be digested instead of tossed. I'm not sure how you would transport them but the idea could work for home dining -- at least you'll save water from not having to wash up.
Any other clever edible serving ideas from the group?

really cute idea, although it seems like more effort in the end than just bringing your plates and utensils from home and cleaning them up after.

I do that all the time with watermelons. Though it's actually more work than using a bowl. I do it because everyone thinks it's gorgeous.

Fruit salad in a hollowed out melon... my mom's been doing that for 30 years. I thought that is how everyone served fruit salad!
