What Is This Mystery Tupperware Gadget?
Good Questions

Q: I bought a bag of mixed kitchen item to get the Tupperware measuring cups in it. Included with the measuring cups were these pieces that I am guessing go together. I have no idea if I am assembling it correctly or what it is used for.

hmmm...kind of looks like a tool set for the parts of something. But it would be strange to sell such a thing separately from whatever it's supposed to go with. stumped.

Looks as if it is a stand to something.. I have a co-worker whose wife sells tupperware, I will ask!

It reminds me of something my mom used to make baby food long ago, but I think it's missing some parts?

It sort of looks like an incomplete cookie press... but honestly, I have no idea. I look forward to learning what it actually is!

I swear I remember this from my childhood. I'm emailing my mom.

My mom recognized it immediately as a 1970's henway.

Listen, Stone, if you're not going to be helpful, go sit in the corner and have some Duck Soup.

I'll bite: what's a matta booboo

(and in reply: Pobresito)

This doesn't look like the Tupperware they had when I was young. I'm thinking it is missing some parts. Love the orange though.

where can you buy a mixed bag of random kitchen stuff...sounds like fun. I love a good surprise:)

I suspect it's missing some pieces. It looks like it's supposed to create a flower. Probably a very odd serving tray set.

This looks EXACTLY like the piece that holds up a baby gym we have.

Try this one and zoom in, you can kind of see it:

It has ended up in my kitchen drawer thanks to my little guy. :)

Some guesses:

A plastic cake decor element that allows you to make your white frosted cake into a Bitig clock from Ikea. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90152758

A cake decor element you press into the bottom of a cake to give your cake orange clown feet.

A cake protector: You set the cylindrical part into the hole of a Bundt cake and the two arms protect it so that you can wrap it in cellophane.

A doughnut hole-punch.

When the two arms make ninety degrees, it can be used for water-divining.

Hmm. I think that's all I got.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw the stabilizer for a baby play mat. You unfold the "wings" and they create a footprint that holds an arch over the mat. Maybe we should post this over on Ohdeedoh to get some expert opinions. Not sure what it's doing with kitchen supplies, though.

"I'll bite: what's a matta booboo"

nothing Yogi!

I passed this query along to my sister-in-law who is a Tupperware dealer. Even SHE didn't know what it is!

i wonder if this fits somehow with any of the other pieces in the bag.

wouldn't it be funny if these had nothing to do with baking, and they made it into the bag by accident?

I agree - it's definitely to hold up the bar of a baby activity mat. Good luck finding a use for it in your kitchen, though. I'm thinking cookie cutter.

Wow, that's definitely for the baby mat...what a funny mishap! It looks like the arms rotate since the mat isn't a perfectly straight shape, and to collapse it I guess. I'd be surprised if it turned out to be anything else!

It's for the baby mat. We have it too, but ours is green plastic. I wonder where the other one ended up?? There is one on each side of the mat.
