Send Us Your Questions for Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse

martha-emeril.jpgWe've been invited to interview Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse on Monday afternoon. We (Chris) will get five minutes to toss them two of your questions ... maybe three if we're lucky.

What should we ask Emeril and Martha?

Please post the questions you think we should ask in the comments for this post. We'll pick our favorite questions, get Martha and Emeril's answers on Monday night, and post their responses on Tuesday.

We'll dig deep into our giveaway closet and find something suitably Martha-ish to send to the readers who give us the best two questions too.

Emeril Lagasse, now working under the Martha Stewart umbrella, will premiere his new Everyday Food column in the July/August issue. If that's not enough of this power combo, Emeril and Martha will do a live show on Sirius Radio on Monday from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

(*Gulp*, I'm a little nervous about interviewing these two! Help me out with some questions. Should I go serious, silly, gardening, green, weird, what??)

Martha: How do you find time to post on your blog so often? It seems like the most personal of all the public things you do.

Emeril: What is your favorite meal to cook for yourself?

Emeril:

You and Martha being paired-up is an interesting combination. It is definitely a power combo. You are an accomplished professional chef and Martha is an accomplished cook and master of all things domestic. Do you have great respect for Martha's cooking skills, style and technique? And how do you plan to contribute to the culinary side of the Martha Stewart enterprise?

Martha:

Obviously you have tremendous respect for Emeril as a professional chef and television personality. I propose the same question. What are you hoping Emeril will bring to your culinary program?

When I was growing up I became inspired to be a cook from watching your holiday specials. I remember one special where you had a tiny brick smokehouse in the backyard and you smoked a turkey. I'd love to see you and Emeril put together a cool special like that for the holidays. It would be a great collaboration I think--you two could throw a great party.

Martha and Emeril,
The weather is rainy, or maybe snowy, and you have a lazy afternoon all to yourself at home, what do you do?

And in response to TannerAdair, I think I read she has an assistant help her, as well as her sister too, post on her blog. I think I read that on her blog actually.

for emeril:

let's say (cough) i'm incompetent in the kitchen. can't even boil water. what are the very basic basics i should work to perfect in order to be a good cook, or at least to pass myself off as one?

for martha:

let's say (cough) i'm totally competent in the kitchen and i want to quit my dayjob and make a living at cooking or baking or professionally eating. without attending international culinary schools or having contacts in television - how does an average joe foodie get to work in food?

Both for both -

Do you have any plans to use your influence to encourage Americans to investigate local and organic food options?

If you were stuck on a desert island that spontaneously produced salt, pepper, olive oil and an additional 10 and only 10 ingredients, what 10 ingredients would you want?

Ok, this isn't a nice question, but it's a fair question:

Emeril,

Why do you frequently neglect to wash your hands after handling raw chicken and before touching foods that might be served raw?

To Both, if you could eat anywhere in the world tomorrow, where you go for breakfst, lunch and dinner, and what would your order.
