Tomato, mozzarella, basil, and onion on ciabatta is a classic for a reason. So delicious. From my childhood, I still love apple jelly and cheddar on white bread. When grilled, the apple and cheddar just meld. Great way to get an apple pie fix. Not healthy, but so good.

Grueyere, pancetta and fig jam. Heaven.

seedy grainy sliced wheat bread buttered and dragged in grated parmesan on the outside swiss, jack, thin tomato and spinach leaves inside. the parmesan gets brown and crispy and the sharp/cool cheese combo inside with the soft thin tomato and wilted spinach. oh ya.

It's a toss up between grilled cheddar and apples or nutella with bananas!

Ham & swiss on wheat or multi-grain toast, then add sliced apples when it's done. YUMMY! Hope I win this so I can make LOTS of them!

I have a toss up - and two very different tastes. I love them both depending on my mood: tomato with fresh and milky mozzarella and fresh basil and a bit of cracked pepper on focaccia. The second one is a traditional reuben on rye. YUM!!!!!

My grandchildren and I have the same preference: grilled cheese sandwiches made with Velveeta cheese because it melts and gets really gooey!

BLT, mayo, lettuce and all! The mayo get warm, almost like a hollandaise, and the lettuce is almost like spinach when it is cooked!

I've worked at two different Italian restaurants as a cook and have made thousands of these.
