There was an inspiring profile of the kitchen garden tended by Leslie Rose Close in yesterday's NY Times (A Kitchen Garden Arranged by an Artist's Eye, July 6, 2006).
Ms. Close an accomplished horticulturist, who is married to the artist Chuck Close, grows everything from leeks to fennel in her 60-by-80-foot garden in Bridgehampton, NY.
"I can't imagine anything more wonderful to do," she said. "It's spiritual, physical, intellectual, aesthetic, sensual. I feel tied to the basic process of life.'"

Dear,
I am a simple Indian from India. We love everything about humans and all the animals. We agreed to be vegetarians about 7 (seven) thousands years ago, to avoid killing our relatives from the biggest to the smallest.
Sorry, I had fled from a torture chamber in apartheid South Africa (many years after my grandads and Gandhi), and drawn to US, and then became somewhat "intelligent". Visit www.interquantcapital.com, about this survival person now in Florida.
All the very best to you and the family,
Vikram
