June is when things really start to flourish in the garden. With green being the predominant color, there are still hints of spring: delicate pea shoots, and barely-there beets. But, rejoice, a harvest doesn't seem so much like a pipe-dream anymore. In honor of Gardening Month, try to name the crop in each photo.

What fun, here are my guesses:
1.beet
2.strawberry
3.zucchini
4.dill (carrot?)
5.don't know
6.sweet pea
7.tomato
8.breakfast radish
9.green beans
--How close am I?
I think #3 is asparagus. And #5's got me stumped, too.
I'm pretty sure number three is dill, and number six is regular (or snow) peas - sweet peas are inedible, and actually deadly poison. I think number 5 is some sort of berry, raspberry or blackberry would be my guess.
Very difficult! :)
I see tomatoe, dill, and strawberry the rest... lol
It Is difficult. I'm not a gardener..that's my problem(or excuse:)! Reg. peas, yes! oops! Garden Guides, those 3 were the only ones I was pretty sure about too!
kwj-sharp eyes, I think you're right about the asparagus! Hopefully correct answers will be provided.
1.) Beets are a good guess, but my first thought was young red chard.
2.) Strawberries!
3.) Asparagus
4.) Dill... or maybe fennel or carrots.
5.) Peas. They are so pretty.
6.) Black or raspberries
7.) Tomato
8.) Radishes
9.) Runner beans
I'm so jealous of how green your garden looks. I've been thinking about posting my yard for the green thumb contest, but the garden looks so, well, eaten. Can we see what your whole yard looks like? Or are you planing at a community garden? I've wondered for a long time (since I found out that you were growing rhubarb).
