We saw the Rosle Wine Bottle Stopper reviewed over at Book of Joe and wondered if it was really all it's cracked up to be.
Without drawing out the oxygen at the top of the bottle, won't the wine begin to deteriorate immediately?
What do you use to save all that [cough, cough] extra wine you don't drink?

what is this extra wine that you speak of??
glad press 'n' seal.
When we do have extra, we use a generic cork stopper, probably about $5 or less, and put it in the fridge. The wine tastes okay for about a day and then it either gets tossed or used in cooking.
I use the Vacu-Vin. I was a skeptic, but it really really works.
Admittedly, I don't need to use it all that often, but I have already saved way more than the $9.99 purchase price in un-wasted wine! :)

That distiller is crazy - my favorite part of that link is the disclaimer:
"Note: Under the laws of the the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, this still is exempt from regulations for setting up and registration of distilling provided that it is not used for distilling."
OMG, Stephen! Thank you for posting this distiller. Is probably a ridiculous piece of countertop clutter but that all depends if it gets used or not. My BF and I put together a homemade distiller once ni pursuit of his hobby for homemade beer/wine/whatever he strikes his fancy next. It was a smelly, messy, and very involved ordeal. This is much classier and far more realistic. Shot glasses- so cute! What a great gift idea!
