Look! It's a pasta noodle. Get it? Haha. But that's not all it is -- it actually has one more very useful purpose.

This funny little gadget is a two-in-one tool, with openings to measure different amounts of pasta. It also is a trivet for your pasta pot. The trivet functionality is one that honestly we really like; we are always looking for better trivets and this one is pretty cute.

seems to me that you would want a trivet made out of something that doesn't conduct heat so well (like this metal). But its a great idea. Love the cute design and easy storage (ie flatness).

I always wonder about those pasta-measuring gadgets. It can be deceiving if the pasta happens to be longer. Does anyone else have this problem/concern?

Those are both good points. It is very cute though.

Last year, I bought a pasta measurer. I thought it would help with portion control. I used it once. I normally eat 2 generous servings of pasta for dinner. Now I just grab about 1/4-1/3 box of dried pasta.

I tried a pasta measurer and it was really inconsistant. You want portion control, your best gadget is a scale. While I'm on the soapbox, it's a much more accurate way to measure flour, too. Wish it was the standard here in America.
Cute as a trivet, though a little hefty for that. What *is* it made out of? I can't find it.

$35? For a metal squiggle to measure pasta or set a hot pot on?!! You've got to be kidding!!

I just cook 1/4 a pack of pasta per person. 2 people is half a pack, 4 people is a whole pack. What could be simpler?
