Look! Do You Know What This Is?

2008_05_30-foodcoveranthropologie.jpgIt's something that starts to come in handy around this time of year...

It's a food cover, useful when picnicking to help protect your food!

Lately, we're leaving our windows open during the day, and eating outside almost every night, and the bugs are dining too. Experience tells us that in a few weeks, the flies and mosquitoes will be more full than we will. So we're checking out food covers that will help keep bugs off of our food when we're dining alfresco.

The embroidered one above is from Anthropologie, for $18
Here are a few more cute and practical ones that we've scavenged from around the Net:

2008_05_30-popupfoodcovertarget.jpg
• Set of 3 popup covers from Amazon.com $9.99

2008_05_30-tikiamazonsetof3.jpg
• This 3 piece nesting tiki-inspired set also comes from Amazon.com $24.95

• And we couldn't resist this food cover embroidered with cupcakes er..."fairy cakes" and cherries. We can just see a plate of freshly decorated cupcakes on a countertop, safely protected until hungry people reach for them. From BlendBoutique.com 8.95 Pounds Sterling.
