Il Buddino Dessert Molds
Italy

tuttibudda.jpgIl Buddino from Italy's Nobody & Co. is a Buddha-shaped dessert mold that can be put in the fridge, freezer or dishwasher (but not in the oven)....

buddhamold.jpgJust wet down the inside of the Buddha and fill it with warm pudding or jello, let it cool and refrigerate for at least four hours before unmolding.

Il Buddino is available in the U.S. here.

That's such a bad pun! 'Budino' (a single d) means pudding in Italian, so 'Buddino' = Buddha shaped pudding... *argh*

$75 for four little pudding molds isn't my idea of enlightenment.

I think they're kind of cute, but although I'm not all that religious (much less Buddhist), even I think it's just tiny bit sacrilegious. I'm not saying that would stop me from buying them if I cooked more AND had miles of extra space for something sooooooooo specific.

No thank you. Make me a pretty flower mold, and I'd consider it, but molds of people? Religious people? I wonder what would happen if they marketed Jesus popsicles in Italy. Ew.

I bought them because I fell in love with them instantly (and they weren't that expensive. 75$? Heck!), but I have to say I don't use them that much. The problem is they are VERY hard to unmold, and most of the time the Buddha comes out without the head...
