I'd make my grandmother's sugar cookies. Hers were light and flaky, and dusted with sugar on top. Orange zest gave the cookies some zing. No frosting; these cookies are flakey, not cakey! My grandmother died last year, and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to get the recipe quite like hers. But I'm going to try.

Gingerbread snowmen over the holidays and I'd turn em over and do sugar cookie ice cream cones in the off season. I could make it work. :)

Well, I love gingerbread, so of course those. But probably also some sugar cookies for those who don't like gingerbread. And of course, the kids could do the 'hard' work of decorating them, right, while I do the ultra-hard work of eating them!

These would make a wonderful "family" of cookies for my brother, his wife, and his son. They collect snowmen of every conceivable type. I think I would make a dozen, (using a sugar-free recipe, because my sister-in-law and nephew are diabetic), and then, decorate the top of the package of cookies with the cutters. Thanks for this great opportunity!

I need to make treats for all of my student workers for the holidays. They're stressed out over finals and sick because they're not eating or sleeping from the stress. I'd like to make personalized sugar or gingerbread cookies for each of them to remind them that we're here for them.

I would make good old fashioned sugar cookies with real butter. I always add a little bit of orange or lemon zest. I would decorate with homemade powdered sugar frosting, colored sugars, sprinkles, and colored frosting piped on for the details. Thanks for the contest!
