Technology is a wondrous thing. Sometimes it gives us answers to questions we wouldn't even think were possible to answer. Here's one: Is this drink really decaf, or will I be staring at the ceiling at 2am? Enter the D+Caf caffeine test strips, which promise to tell you whether to drink that decaf or leave it for someone less susceptible to caffeine.
If you're extra-sensitive to caffeine and want peace of mind on your decaf coffee, tea, or whatever, these strips may be for you. Dip the strip into the beverage and it will change colors if it detects more than 20mg of caffeine. It will show results in less than 30 seconds, and they say it is at least 98% effective in testing that level of caffeine.

I'm one of those not susceptible to caffeine. I can drink a pot and then go straight to bed. But I don't know whether this is a good thing, because caffeine also doesn't work in the morning or afternoon as a pick-me-up/wake-me-up.
More on topic, I think I may have to grab these for my mom who is super caffeine sensitive and is always fretting about whether something will keep her up to all hours of the night. This could give her more guidance about whether to drink that tea or not. (Huzzah to technology!)
