We aren't the only ones thinking about fool, that old-fashioned, English dessert, today.
We watched Martha Stewart make a rhubarb version on her show with Saturday Night Live's Seth Myers. There were a few funny moments, like when Myers claimed you should tell your cooking companions, "We're making rhubarb, Fool."

I love Martha, warts and all. And as always, with the simple recipes, it's important to use the best quality ingredients you can afford. Spend the big bucks and get the best cream and the best fruit you can find.

Well speaking of spending the big bucks Rose did you happen to see the Rhubarb Raspberry Grunt she and Seth Myers made in the next segmant? Her kitchen assistants gave her the current prices of raspberries, I believe they paid $7.99/lb. and rhubarb, $9.99 lb. She said it was already a $38 dessert with the fruit alone!
While I do like most of what she does, I wish she'd be a little more economically conscious as we all should be these days. Though I did think both desserts looked awesome, I'll just wait for farmer's market fruit.
