We know some of you like to listen to A Prairie Home Companion while you're cooking. Maybe you caught last week's episode when Garrison Keillor talk-sang a little song about late-night guilty pleasures like fried eggs with mustard, a familiar panini and chocolate bacon cake. If not, have a listen below.
The song, which supposedly stemmed from a Facebook update, is all about late-night guilty pleasures in the kitchen. Because, "so many things that a person wants are not found in restaurants." Obviously, we couldn't agree more! At this point, you can probably find bacon chocolate cake in at least a few restaurants, but it's still much more fun to make it at home.
Keillor has a little fun with Julia Child, speculating that she was secretly a Sloppy Joe lover. He also mentions a familiar-sounding panini with chocolate, basil and brie. Perhaps he caught that episode of Oprah, too?
Do you share any of these forbidden tastes and secret delights?

I dont' know about you, but all this did was inspire me to try to make ricotta-stuffed meatloaf sometime. That could be really awesome...or better still, mixed with blue cheese!
So I'm sure someone else is now devising how to make chocolate bacon cake a reality.

OK... I keep trying to figure out what exactly is in that photo: is it a frog-filled chocolate cupcake??? I tried matching it up w/a link.
[Haha... I know, it's crazy but that's what it looks like!]
BTW - I love genoa salami wrapped around a sesame breadstick w/cream cheese. Fried bologna & onions, too. Sick.

@keltrue - It's a bacon chocolate cupcake. The link to "It's Holly" in the image credit line at the bottom goes to the photos source. Frog cupcake would be a REALLY odd combo!

Thanks (I figured it wasn't a frog...) it just made me laugh. But I still wanted to know what it was!

Peanut butter & turkey leftovers sandwich. A little bit of salt and pepper on a good artisan bread makes the difference with unsweetened peanut butter.
