I just learned that COPIA, Robert Mondavi's Center for Wine, Food, and Arts has closed. The reason: the economy. They just weren't making enough money to stay open. I visited there over the summer and had a lovely time. Between the kitchen gardens, the wine tasting exhibits, the farmer's market, and the Julia Child-themed restaurant, it was a wonderful place to visit.

My favorite vietnamese place closed down in Portland. I've been depressed about it for weeks and trying desperately to figure out their Banh Cuon marinade. *sob*
