Once you're there, head down to the subsection "Wining and Dining" and prepare to be wowed.

The food nerd in me loves the "Create/Creation" series, which sets chefs from around the country side by side with their signature dish. The names of the dishes and ingredients aren't listed, but trying to pick apart the dish by visual clues is a game of by itself!

And if you've been wanting to work on your plating and presentation, these photos are a good place to pick up some tricks. We like the symmetry of the plate by Steven Rojas - thinly sliced meat in one corner, starches at a diagonal down the middle of the plate, and the side dish in the opposite corner. Also check out the twelfth picture in the "Just One Plate" series, which shows a grain salad simply served on a curling lettuce leaf.

Any of these prints would be gorgeous as kitchen artwork, don't you think? If you're interested in purchasing, just contact Max Wanger through his website (contact info is under the "This and That" section).

These photos are inspirational. As a somewhat newbie vegetarian food blogger, I've come to the realization that I really need to step up my game with respect to the food photos on my site.
