I came across this photo on the internet of rocks that resemble food. Now, I don't know about you, but that "bacon" sure looks real!
Various rock and crystal formations can often produce layers, colors, shapes, and textures that look like food. Several times while spelunking in caves, I've come across ribbon-like rock formations hanging from the cave ceiling that looked like large strips of bacon.
Roadside America reports that that Arizona Mining & Mineral Museum in Phoenix has a rock food exhibit, and a Texas couple named Bill & Lois Pattillo have an elaborate Rock Food Table that they set up at gem & mineral shows. Check out their rock "key lime pie" below:
