apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Audrey Heller: Photographer

In honor of the end of Art Month over at Apartment Therapy, we salute an artist who has already been featured on the home site, but we think deserves a little extra attention from the food-lovers at The Kitchen.

Audrey Heller composes delightful photographs of miniature people engaged in herculean tasks, many involving food.

Audrey lives in the Bay Area, but sells all of her work online. Prints run from $75 to $235 and come framed or unframed, so this is certainly affordable art.

This French photo site seems to use the same shtick. Wonder who got on the big food/tiny people bandwagon first? (Check out the Galerie Gourmandise...)

this totally reminds me of lori nix (http://www.lorinix.net ). her stuff isn't food-related, but she creates these amazing, elaborate scenes in miniature and photographs them. i saw some of her stuff at white columns 4 or 5 yrs ago.
