Our love for Adam Turman has been well documented over at
Apartment Therapy. Having lived in Minnesota for a good portion of our adult lives, we have a hard time not supporting a Twin Cities artist, especially when his work is so warm and inviting. Along with his traditional concert posters, he also has some great foodie prints that would be perfect for any kitchen, especially if you have ever lived up north don'tcha know!

Hmm... I don't really go for the cartoonish ones. They look like those caricature drawings you have done by an artist on the boardwalk.
But I AM loving the Gold Medal Flour and Eat Locally prints. Very cool!

Thanks for shouting out MPLS, AT!
My faves are the Grain Belt prints, but maybe I am partial since it is my favorite beer to drink.

As a gift, I was given the coasters with great Mpls signs on them - Pilsbury, Grain Belt,... I LOVE them!

I knew a little about him before I moved to mpls, but after meeting him and buying a few prints, I adore him! The prints are very high quality and people always comment on them when they come in my home. I have two in my living room and one in my bathroom. Thanks for giving a shout out to a well-deserved artist!

The TNT birthday cake one would make a great tattoo.

Sarahrae, thanks for the great reminder of what a cool artist Adam is! I lusted after his print at ArtCrank this year but it was already sold out that night. I'm leaving Minneapolis at the end of this month after a year here, and a few of these will make perfect mementos (though I never did make it to one of those lutefisk dinners in a church basement this winter, alas).

arttarte- We have several in our own home, they all keep the memories made in Minneapolis alive and well. We have never regretted adding them to our collection!

I love Adam Turman! And I love not just the graphic prints but yes, the "Cartoonish Stuff." Especially the cartoonish stuff! Turman is not only a wonderful artist, illustrator and printmaker but a very cool, nice person.
I really want to get a tattoo of the girl on the poster he did for the Methadones, but because she is smoking a cigarette and I have a little girl I haven't gone for it. A sexy lady tatooed on a sexy lady is fine by me, but a tattoo of someone smoking isn't. I guess that's just how it has to be now that I'm a responsible adult!
