One of our favorite places in San Francisco to shop for artisan chocolate is Fog City News. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary newsstand, but step inside, and it's a treasure trove of fine chocolates from around the world, including Vosges, Blanxart, Dolfin, and much more.

Fog City says they have one of the largest collection of premium chocolates in the United States. We believe it, as when we browse the bins of delectable chocolate bars, we always find something we've never heard of before, or we find exotic flavors like Belgian beer chocolate bars, grape marzipan truffles, and maple bacon chocolate bars.

Fog City News is such a little gem. Tucked in right between a Starbucks and an AMEX office (if i recall correctly) on Market St - you could walk right past it if you weren't looking for it. It's a tiny oasis of sweets and zines - these guys have salvaged many a haggard afternoon for me. Super friendly and nice too, all of them. May they grace FiDi for decades to come!
