We don't make smoothies enough. We occasionally buy them from a smoothie store, then take a sip and realize we could make something even better at home. And after a lazy weekend of eating, this is the perfect, healthy Monday morning breakfast. Get the recipe for this hot pink concoction, below...
If you've got a good blender, some fruit (a pint of summer berries?), a touch of yogurt, maybe some honey, or just ice, you've got the makings.
The one above is a lemon berry smoothie with lemonade mix in it:
If you've got leftovers, pour that mix into popsicle molds and make frozen fruit and yogurt treats.
What's your favorite smoothie flavor?

That looks delicious... Lately I've been inspired to make more smoothies- mostly because of the wealth of delicious local fruits here in Western Massachusetts. My favorite of late?
Peach, Blueberry, Banana. I vary the quantities of each based on what I've got or what I want, add in some Stonyfield Farms Vanilla Yogurt, and VOILA! Heaven and three full servings of fruit.

New favourite smoothie:
blueberries
rose water
milk
cottage cheese
Blend all. Cottage disappears into smooth and tangy tastiness that provides tons of protein. Or use yogurt.
