After seeing these scones while browsing Flickr, we went looking for recipes—but, surprisingly, they weren't easy to come by. See two we found, below, with a tip on how to get that spice-flecked glaze. And pass on your own recipe! We're looking for more...
The idea of pumpkin scones sounds so good to us right now. We frequently make pumpkin muffins or pumpkin bread, but these would be a nice twist, delicious with dried currants or cranberries.
Here are two recipes we found:
Now, neither of these recipes included a glaze like the one in the photo. But that's easy to remedy: Simply combine some confectioners sugar with whole milk or half and half and sprinkle in some cinnamon to get the speckled look.
We'd love to know if any of you have a great pumpkin scone recipe. Or any pumpkin baked good, for that matter. Let us know!

I didn't use an egg wash on the pictured scones but I did use one on the ones I made yesterday. Yummy!

I've made these pumpkin scones before (http://pinchmysalt.com/2007/10/18/pumpkin-spice-scone-recipe/) and loved them! I went with the cinnamon icing recommended and it was great.

These Pumpkin spice cookies are really more like scones -- very soft and bready. They remind me of the starbucks pumpkin scones if you make them larger than directed.
