Autumn Place Settings: Napkin Rings Made from Felt

Earlier this week over at Apartment Therapy, we featured the home of Jason Loper in northern Chicago. We couldn't help but swoon over his adorable fall place settings, made out of felt. Don't they just make you want to throw an autumn party?

These napkin rings were made using a pattern from Merriment Design, so they're use to duplicate! Here's more info:

You could easily make this yourself at home. Just head to the craft store for a few pieces of autumnal colored felt. We love the idea of using a button, too, as a small slit in the end of card stock or felt would fit right over the top. It would allow you to switch out the color of your leaves, or the names of your guests without remaking the set up each time!

Thanks Jason!

Very cute. I love the idea of adapting these to any theme, for a party.

The felt napkin rings are so cozy, perfect for fall and Chicago!

I tend to associate felt with the cold months, so I wouldn't recommend swapping the leaves out for spring flowers. Is that a correct suggestion or am I missing the versatility of felt?

I got the original template for these napkin rings from the Merriment Design blog:
