Monogrammed cocktail napkins are one of those niceties that not enough people really notice. They can be a bit stodgy and old fashioned, and in the end, we think they're often not worth the money.
But personalized napkins can be a great way to add affordable fun and whimsy to your next gathering. We just ordered these "We Love Butter" napkins, but we've got more ideas for witty sayings for your summer gatherings.
Entertaining Tips: Sassy Cocktail Napkins!
Since most of our summer entertaining revolves around the grill, we're currently compiling a list of slightly corny but fun napkins to have on hand.

For cocktail parties, we could add

Some of these sayings you could find in a store preprinted, but adding our names makes them more special and something to be noticed.
We also love this idea as a hostess present. We ordered 100 "We love butter" napkins from For Your Party for less than $30 + shipping. A witty saying and your hosts' names means you took the time to plan ahead and get something special, just for them.

I think it's darling. The first slogan that came to mind for me and my husband is, "We see cake, we eat cake." S said that while having dinner with some friends of ours several years ago and they had it put on the back of a cap for him. They put "Brooklyn Emulsifiers" on the front, which is our team name for ourselves...hm, that would also be pretty great. But we definitely, most assuredly eat cake when we see cake and those would be fun napkins to have at a birthday party.
