After last week's Julia Child Birthday Contest, we have butter on the brain. Flaky puff pastry, rich brioche, and melting butter on bread - the pleasures of good butter, eaten in moderation, are innumerable.
We were browsing through online gourmet food shops, looking at the international butters available from stores like iGourmet and Marky's. Sometimes it's hard to find artisan butters (and cheeses, wines, and other foods, for that matter) in some regions of the country.
We're curious - do you ever buy perishable foods like butter or ice cream from artisan shops online?

i buy this french butter (imported) that comes in a cute small red tin.
its available in all the asian markets here in san francisco
it reminds me of the butter i ate in spain at my grandmothers house, its pure butter but almost tastes like margarine avaialble in the states.
anyone else buy it?
