Recipe: Apple Cranberry Coffee Cake

2006_01_12-dannon.jpgNew Gig: For the first three months of this year, I am the guest-host of The Dannon Kitchen, the recipe and blog-like page on Dannon's website. Each week a new recipe, bloggy-style post and Q&A will appear, all featuring the wild wooly topic of yogurt.

This week's recipe is an Apple Cranberry Coffee Cake. Working on this job, my eyes have been opened to the versatility of cooking with yogurt, especially baking. Take this coffee cake for example. It's not just a passable healthy breakfast alternative - it's actually quite moist. Hard to believe that it's fairly nourishing and not some donut-pastry-sugar-high morning sin.

So between now and the end of March, check out The Dannon Kitchen each Monday morning for a new recipe and bloggy bits. You may just learn something; I certainly am.

that's great! i wish i liked yogurt more. i try to make myself eat it for breakfast every once in a while but it just grosses me out. but i do enjoy baking and cooking with it. i made the crunchy curry yogurt rice dish from yesterday's NYT links last night and it was awesome.
