Nothing hits the spot quite like goat's milk. No, seriously. I drink a cup of goat's milk several times a week. Supposedly easier on the tummy than cow's milk, it also has a rich, sweet flavor that the heifers just don't put out.
It was only a matter of time (I'm kicking myself) before someone marketed goat milk ice cream. Enter, Laloo's Goat's Milk Ice Cream Company of Sonoma, CA. Their goats roam freely, like the Northern California hippies that they are, grazing "on green grass and thistleberry in the warm Pacific breeze."
Sadly for us East-Coasters, the ice cream is only available on the West Coast. For those who live between San Diego and Seattle, use their store locator tool to find a vendor near you (you lucky bastards). The rest of us have to but it online, or get out the old ice cream maker, and wing it.

Sarah,
Wait no more. Laloos will be on the east coast by May First at nearly all Whole Foods markets and at many specialty retailers. And for anyone who can't wait, there is always are overnight shipping from the website. Thanks for supporting us ... and let us know if we can be of any help in your ventures ...
Just wanted to post quickly to say how much my wife and I love Laloo's. She is pregnant (five months and counting...) and very aware of the foods she is putting into her body. We were turned on to Laloo's from another pregnant friend of ours. Thank god for that!
My wife loves the chocolate and I am a vanilla man, myself. I think what we enjoy the most about finding Laloo's is the added nutritional benefits. It is much better for you than cow milk ice cream without losing any taste. In fact, we both think the taste is better.
Check out the nutritional story here. very interesting. And thank you Laura for all your hard work. Please don't ever stop making goat milk ice cream!!
