There's been a lot of silicone discussion this week - pros, cons, like and dislike of the stuff for baking.
Here's one silicone product that we couldn't help but notice as looking very helpful. We do a lot of grinding spices and chopping herbs, and these tiny ingredients have a tendency to fly everywhere as we cook. These mini silicone bowls are flexible, letting you funnel spices or chopped ingredients into a pot. We think they'd make our mise-en-place just a little bit easier. $3.99 for a set of four at Amazon.

Curious, what is the impact on the environment in the production of silicone? And......are there any toxins given off if these cooking utensils are used in excessive heat?
Thanks
I have a set of these and I adore them.
I also have a set, use them at least 4 times a week. Great for anyone who stir-fries.
Alton Brown geeks may also remember these from some Good Eats episodes.
I could have used one of those today when I dropped oregano all over my kitchen!
Are these the same ones they sell at Crate & Barrel?
