Seen at ICFF: Chubby Teapot from Normann Copenhagen

2008_05_22-Normann.jpgNormann Copenhagen designs products for the home and kitchen, including some of the most iconic popular design items of the last few years. You would probably recognize their green collapsible funnel and companion red collapsible strainer. At ICFF we saw an expansion of their Familia line of cookware into similar shapes for tabletop. To see more (especially that cute teapot) read on...

2008_05_22-Normann2.jpgThis teapot was our favorite practical thing from the show - the high curved spout and the chubby handle - oh and that cork lid! - all came together in one of the best teapots we've seen in a long time. Teapots are often designed just for aesthetics, but if this one doesn't drip, we're sold.

2008_05_22-Normann3.jpgThe handles of the servingware and the pots and pans were thick and rounded - they felt great in the hand.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Chris and I also liked that the because the lid is cork it wouldn't burn your hand when you go to pour. Sometimes my ceramic lid gets so hot I need a teatowel to pour.
