Recycle, Re-Juice: Re-Juicer from Amrom Experimental

2009_06_05-Juicer.jpgDo you need a juicer for all those summer cocktails? Well, this one looks pretty good; it is basic and simple, and it does what you need it to do. There's a twist, though.

2009_06_05-Juicer02.jpgThis is definitely not a commercially-produced juicer; it's actually made from cleaned and recycled bottles. What a good-looking re-use of commonly thrown away products!

This is from Amron Experimental, a design group that is creating some very interesting products and concepts that explore reusing, recycling, and reducing our consumption.

• Buy it: Re-Juicer, $6.50 at Amron Experimental

Is there a good reason to buy it when they've essentially shown us how to make our own? I do think it's a great idea, btw!

mmm... poland spring is most definitely real. i grew up in small (neighboring) town in maine... as a kid it was definitely the best tasting water. ever.
there was actually a small turn-off on a road between the town of poland and a town called mechanic falls where you could stop and collect your own water from a spring pipe. it was a summer tradition to go about once a month. they've since disallowed access.
and now they source from multiple springs around new england so it never tastes quite as good.

also - good idea on the water bottle/juicer thing. definitely agree with the first poster that you could easily make your own!
