We made a prediction that silicone would be out in 2008 and warmer, more hand-crafted kitchen tools would have a big growth spurt.
This chocolate lacewood butter spreader just proves the point. One of us received it for Christmas, and it's lovely and warm. It was handcrafted by Tryyn Gallery, a small woodworking company near San Diego.
They have a whole collection of beautiful wood tableware and spoons - we especially like the coffee measures. Did you receive any handcrafted kitchen gifts this year, and if so, do you have any recommendations to share?
