Mixing Bowls With Measurements

2008-01-29-mixing-bowls.jpgHere is a great tool for bakers: a stainless steel mixing bowl with the measurements written on the inside of the bowl. Genius.

For those who don't weight their flour, this is a not-super-accurate-for-measuring but very helpful way to remember how many cupfuls you've parsed out. "Am I on three, or was that five?"

The measurements would also come in handy when it comes time to watch dough rise and double.

These bowls, made in Sweden by Linden Sweden, come in 1.5, 3 and 5-quart sizes. The 1.5 quart size measures up to 6 cups, and the 5-quart measures out 9 pints, which is about 21 whopping (dry) cups.

IKEA's REDA mixing bowls also have measurements on the inside, plus they come with lids, a pouring spout, rubber grip bottom, and you can get a set of 3 for $4.99!
