Kyocera Mandoline Update

2007_06_06_brokenmandoline.JPGOur cheap mandoline is now a broken mandoline. We first wrote about it here in January and have used it about ten times.

That little plastic piece snapped off our $29.95 Kyocera mandoline while we were washing it. While the parts do snap back together again, it isn't steady anymore. With a ceramic blade that sharp, we don't want to risk our fingers.

We've grown to like this little gadget. Is there a way to fix it? Meanwhile, we're testing full size mandolines. We'll post those reviews soon.

I'd definitely see if you can exchange it for another one, wherever you bought it. I got mine at Williams-Sonoma, and with their generous return policy, know they'd just replace it.
