Ice Kabob Swizzle Sticks

It's starting to heat up out there, and we're already thinking about summer cocktails. Big pitchers of spiked lemonade, sangria, and grownup chilly drinks are essential to summer entertaining, and they all need plenty of ice. We saw these Ice Kabob Swizzle Sticks ($9, The Spoon Sisters) and thought that they're rather brilliant. Swizzle your drink with a little ice kabob...

Anybody else irritated with flexible ice trays?
Not these particular ones - maybe they are large enough to work - but the crosses and arrows I got at IKEA and some others from someplace else were just really heard to get the ice out.

I like the shapes (and especially letters of the alphabet), but I find them more or less unusable.

Guido, I had the same experience with hearts I got at IKEA. I finally chucked them.

I have the trays from IKEA that make really big cubes. Sometimes the ice just pops out but if it's stubborn, you can just invert them and run them under the faucet for a second or two.

Groovy idea for ice cube's, a friend has the form for the water bottle ice cubes and I must say they too work well for grownup drinks
