The Tools line was created in 1998 by Swedish designer Bjorn Dahlstrom for the Hackman company, which has been producing quality cookware and cutlery in Finland since 1790 and is distributed by Iittala, a homewares company that represents the best of stylish and contemporary Scandinavian design. Although they are attractive enough to go from the oven to an elegant dinner table, don't think these pots and pans are an exercise in style over substance. Like All-Clad, it features a multi layer technique of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel which is excellent for even heat distribution.
