I recently took a trip to the Outer Banks and caught some beautiful trout (and bluefish!) I'd like to grill the trout whole, but am a little intimidated, as I've only grilled filets in the past! Can you tell me a little about the benefits of grilling whole fish? Do you put yours right on the grill? Any great recipes or tips for this?

I have been experimenting with grilling vegetables. So far, my repertoire has been limited to zucchini and asparagus, either wrapped in foil or directly on the grate. I have heard of grilled corn, but have not made the leap. Any other veggies that might be good to grill?

@marisab: our new one is a Weber Genesis 310 (propane) and I LOVE it. It's bit pricier than others, but all our others have only lasted a few years, so...

I took the best online price I found to my local hardware store and they matched it, delivered, tax included!

I use lump charcoal, which only works for me because I don't grill much at a time. It seems to burn too quickly to cook larger pieces of meat or to successfully grill for, say, an hour or so for a larger party. Any tips on how to use the lump charcoal this way?

This may sound very basic, but do you have a foolproof way for grilling barbecued chicken? Mine always ends up either too smoky or too charred, and while it might takes OK, always has a kind of grey-ish look about it. Any tips?

I have a small, balcony-friendly gas grill (one of the smaller Weber Qs) with just a single burner. I'm curious about cooking fish in foil on a grill. I've seen this done at a friend's house, but wasn't sure if she sprayed something on the foil before throwing everything in (veggies) or maybe poured some olive oil? I really have no idea! Can you cook anything in foil on a grill?
