The Kitchen's first contest is upon us. Because it's summer, and because so many people have been writing in about making ice cream, we're going to challenge you to submit the most delectable, most lick-able ice cream recipe you can dream up.

So get your recipe-writing hat on, and if you've never worn one, now's the time to start learning to develop a recipe. The official rules will be posted tomorrow, but in the meantime, you can start asking your local ice cream monger who they make that favorite flavor of yours, or you can brush up on ice cream making techniques. Remember, it has to be unique - keep your paws off epicurious!!
