Food Network is on a hunt for America’s best recipes to be showcased on a new reality series: Ultimate Recipe Showdown. They're seeking entries in six categories: chicken, cakes, cookies, pasta, comfort food and burgers.
The top nine entrants in each category will get a trip to Los Angeles in August 2007 to show-off their recipe on-air in the competition. The winner takes $10,000 and the title of “Ultimate Recipe.” Here's the entry form.
They're taking entries until May 25, 2007. Ultimate Recipe Showdown will premiere in early 2008 on Food Network.
What about foods that are healthy? I'm just sayin', they could help us out a little here and have categories like "fruits" instead of "comfort food" and "burgers."

I thought about entering till I saw the bit about the recipe becoming their property with all rights to the profits and use. Oh well!
