No questions. Just to say that yesterday I tasted lavender & orange zest sorbet, it was delicious. Then I went ahead & had soy dark chocolate ice cream. It was a good day!

Leeds - you CAN! There are ways of making ice cream w/o an ice cream maker. Take a look at Nigella Lawson's recipe for bitter orange ice cream as an example:
hmm.. now I'm sorry I gave away my ideas! No. Seriously, thanks SK, will have to think about it.

Sara Kate,
Now you've got my brain on overdrive...I didn't know that an ice cream maker wasn't mandatory!

Sara Kate,
Any tips on how one would make ripples in ice cream (using a machine). I'm thinking peanut butter ripples or fudge, but don't want it fully incorporated into the ice cream. Can you pass on advice? Thanks!

Kate,
Put the ice cream through the machine process without the ripple ingredients until it's frozen, but not frozen hard, then stir in the fudge or whatever it is that you're rippling. Then hard-freeze before serving.
abby,
:o)
that would the only explanation right? a sign for all of us, I mean!
I was thinking of possible flavor combinations in my sleep!
