Do you know why some species listed here are farmed varieties? I'm confused as to how they aren't ocean friendly when they're not wild.

Like how oryx is endangered in the wild, but you can still go to hunter's leases and hunt the animal because they're effectively "farmed."

The problem with farmed fish is that the practice is not well regulated in some parts

Many fish farmers give their fish growth hormones and overloads of antibiotics. Because the fish are kept in floating enclosures, they can spread disease and parasites to wild fish, they are at higher risk for disease and parasites because they are packed into enclosures instead of allowed to swim free.
