NYC: Recycle Your Old Clothes at the Greenmarket

2008_01_11_goodwill-logo.jpgWhy not fill your market bag up with old clothes before you head off for the Greenmarket?

We just heard that New Yorkers can drop off old clothes with Goodwill at the Greenmarkets in Grand Army Plaza and Union Square.

Clothing and textiles are 5.7% of NYC’s waste, but are 100% recyclable at these two collection sites:

Material Mondays: Union Square Greenmarket, Mondays from 8am to 6pm, 17th Street and Park Ave South

Second Chance Saturdays: Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, Saturdays from 8am to 4pm, NW Entrance to Prospect Park

5.7%!! Wow, New Yorkers sure do cycle through those clothes. I guess that's why they always look so good!
