Good Question Update: Shayna De-Stinks a Vintage Kettle

2007_02_28-Kettle.jpg Do you remember Shayna's Good Question from last fall? She told us she had a vintage Michael Lax enamel kettle that smelled like "Chanel #5 and cigarettes." She didn't want to throw away her pretty yellow kettle so she asked us for some help. How did it turn out?

 
 

At AT: San Francisco Shayna has a rundown of everything she did to get this kettle clean, including our more natural-solution suggestion of lemons and salt.

The end result? She got it clean and the kettle smells clean and fresh instead of like an old apartment.
