The line was literally out the door at Alice Waters' book signing this weekend. We stopped by The Gardener's Ferry Building branch to check out the Bay Area's most famous foodie and her new book The Art of Simple Food.
Event Report: Alice Waters Book Signing
Fans of all ages waited to get their copies of the cookbook signed, while Ms. Waters patiently scrawled her signature and shared a smile and a few words with everyone who came to see her. We grabbed some copies to give as gifts but are wishing we had gotten one for ourselves too - a quick flip through the book shows it to be a trove of simple recipes based on Waters' famous principles - fresh, seasonal, and delicious.
